Compliments

Dear Marlene,

We would like to thank you for all your efforts in arranging Mitzu's transportation. He has arrived today in the morning and is in good spirits. Left him at home to get acquainted with the house but I think he would prefer to take the plane back to the kennel rather than deal with a 3 year old toddler that is so happy to see him that almost doesn't let him breeze due to too much kisses and hugs.

The customs clearance went ok, fast and with the Swiss performance. He already had his first meal ... but we are too scared to let him out as yet. Well, he kept going towards the door, but I think that we will keep him inside for few days. I have already buttered his paws ... will see if it works.

Have you ever thought to put together a small booklet of how to get your pet adjusted to a new environment? Could help I suppose since we act more on myth rather then factual knowledge ... I'm referring to the butter on his paws ... hahaha

Any way, thank you once again and will keep you updated of Mitzu's adjustment in his new country and home.

By the way, if you need for future clients just as a matter of interest for them, when picking up an animal in CH they will need the animal's passport as well as the original signed import permit. The passport is issued by the same officials that issue the import permit. The passport will give the animal permission to travel within Europe as well as Turkey and is renewed every year, but the local vet as far as I understood can do that. Also they will need an extra SFr 180 – for the handling charges and SFr 80 for the custom clearance. Hope that will be of interest and help for other people wanting to take their pets to CH.

Best regards,

Gabriela Hertz-Bruno
