Compliments
Hi to all of you at Keringa,
Well done! Jonty is in his new home in Oz! Thanks to you all he has
come back to us in such good condition. I think if he could talk he
would say how much he misses you and all his kennel buddies!
He was fine after his flight to Perth and did well in quarantine there.
We were very fortunate that an English lady offered to visit Jonty when
she visited her dog - this meant that Jonty got daily exercise in the
week (no visits are permitted over weekends) - if the dogs do not have a
visitor they may not be exercised that day.
Jonty is now getting used to life in Karratha. I walk him twice a day -
the weather is still cool enough to do so but in summer the temperatures
will be in the upper thirties and at times in the upper forties so we
will then be chilling at home with the help of the air con!
As yet we have not received our furniture but are in a house with hired
furniture. I try not to think backwards and to appreciate what is
happening in our lives now. We have met friendly and helpful people of a
number of nationalities. Our neighbours wave - the houses are not
generally walled in at the front so all the coming and going is visible.
I think it is an advantage being in a small community as people are
supportive of each other.
We feel so privileged to have been able to bring Jonty with us and it
has been a wonderful experience because of the special people who have
taken care of Jonty and his admin. - thank you again for doing it so
well.
Love and take good care,
Dixon and Jill Lowe
